We’re looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team for a maternity cover. You’ll work hands-on with our daily accounting across multiple countries, while helping us improve the processes and systems behind it.
This isn’t a role where you’ll spend your days quietly working through a checklist. Finance touches the entire business, so you’ll be in dialogue with colleagues and external stakeholders, follow up when something doesn’t add up, and speak up when you spot a process that could work better.
You might already have solid accounting experience. Or you might be at the beginning of your career, bringing relevant experience from a student job and the confidence to take on more responsibility. Either way, we’re looking for someone who’s curious, proactive, and ready to get involved.
What you’ll do
- Handle daily accounting and bookkeeping in Business Central
- Manage invoicing and payments using Continia solutions
- Work with VAT across multiple countries and help ensure compliance
- Support monthly closing, reconciliations, annual accounts, and audits
- Collaborate with colleagues and external stakeholders to get the information you need and keep things moving
- Spot inefficient processes and take an active role in improving and automating them
- Jump into ad hoc Finance tasks and projects when needed
Your team
You’ll join a small accounting team within Finance and work closely with colleagues across financial functions. We’re a collaborative bunch, and while everyone has their own areas of responsibility, we solve problems together.
You’ll get a thorough introduction to our processes and systems, but we also expect you to get involved early. There’s room to ask questions, challenge the way we do things, and bring your own perspective.
What you bring
- A relevant educational background in accounting, finance, or a similar field
- Some hands-on accounting experience – this could be from a full-time position or a relevant student job
- Familiarity with areas such as bank transactions, creditors, debtors, monthly closing, and VAT reconciliations
- Confidence working with financial systems and an eagerness to learn new ones
- Fluent English, written and spoken
Experience with Business Central and Continia is a plus, but it’s not a dealbreaker. We care just as much about your ability to learn, sense of ownership, and understanding the processes behind the numbers.
