Are you passionate about accounting and eager to take part in shaping processes and automation within Finance? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where your attention to details and structure are key? If so, we would love to hear from you!

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join our Finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in managing daily accounting tasks, optimizing financial processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations. You will work with Business Central and Continia solutions, handling invoicing, payments, and VAT across multiple countries.

Automation is a key focus for us, as we strive to streamline and enhance efficiency within our finance operations. You will have the opportunity to shape this, contributing to improved workflows and reduced manual processes.

In your daily work, you will form a small but dedicated accounting team, working on accounting and tasks related to this field. At the same time, you will collaborate with our payroll and financial controlling team, gaining insight into a broad range of financial processes.

Your journey as an Accounting Specialist

As part of our Finance team, you will be welcomed by awesome colleagues and experience a structured and ‘nothing like the average’ onboarding program that equips you with the tools, knowledge, and support needed to thrive in your new role.

You will first dive into the core tasks and work areas to help you understand the team's structure and areas of expertise. As you develop in the role, you will gain a thorough introduction to the tasks related to our daily operations, ensuring you are confident and prepared to take on greater responsibilities. You will have all the support you need from your colleagues, as you will work closely with them.

The position is full-time, and you will get autonomy and flexibility to structure your workdays, allowing for a great work-life balance. We guarantee a steep learning curve and the opportunity to deepen your expertise within accounting and finance.

Responsibilities – you will:

  • Manage internal accounting and bookkeeping in Business Central to meet financial requirements.
  • Improve and develop new processes and procedures in daily accounting operations.
  • Handle invoicing and payments using Continia solutions.
  • Work with VAT for multiple countries and ensure compliance.
  • Contribute to annual accounts and audits, collaborating with external auditors.
  • Perform controlling tasks of existing and new counterparties.
  • Support the finance team with ad hoc tasks as needed.

Qualifications – we imagine that you:

  • Are an experienced Business Central and Continia user.
  • Have experience with bank transactions, creditors, debtors, monthly close, and VAT reconciliations.
  • Are fluent in English, both written and verbal.

Personal skills – we expect that you:

  • Have a high sense of responsibility and can work independently.
  • Can communicate and collaborate across departments.
  • Are proactive and eager to improve accounting systems and processes.
  • Meet deadlines and thrive in a dynamic and evolving work environment.
  • Are detail-oriented and work in a structured manner.

What you can expect from us:

  • A steep learning curve with a great balance of responsibility, autonomy and sparring.
  • The opportunity to develop both professionally and personally.
  • A bunch of great events - both in the teams and in the entire organization.
  • Exceptional colleagues who are bold, honest, ambitious, and the smartest in their field.
  • A unique company culture where we live up to our values: Honesty, Transparency, and Rethink, and where you do not have to abide by a dress code or a strict hierarchy, so you will not be frustrated with too many rules, policies, or bureaucratic processes.

We’re InCommodities: One of the fastest growing trading companies in the world. The energy market is transitioning away from fossil fuels to renewable energy, and we take part in making that happen!

At InCommodities, we support the transition by acting as the middleman between sellers and buyers of power and gas - we transport energy across borders where it’s needed, or we store it and sell it later, providing a vital function in the value chain from production to consumption. InCommodities’ business and decision-making are driven by a deep understanding of the energy markets and based on quantitative analysis and rethinking what we do.

Making InCommodities outstanding requires all types of people with different personalities, backgrounds, and approaches to solving different tasks and projects. But one thing connects us: we're fuelled by new ideas and rethinking the status quo.

Our Culture

We value a strong social culture with a high frequency of employee events outside the office. We want to win and be the best in class – therefore, you'll be surrounded by like-minded people who are bold, honest, ambitious, and the smartest in their field, and who root for one another, as we value a genuine sense of team spirit.

To help each other grow, we use honest and constructive feedback and sparring within and across teams. Personality and cultural fit are important to us because we want you to be happy here. The work culture is relaxed; you don’t have to abide by a dress code or a strict hierarchy, so you won’t be frustrated with too many rules, policies, or bureaucratic processes.

In other words, InCommodities is not your average workplace – it’s awesome.
