At InCommodities, we're rethinking how technology shapes the future of energy trading. We are looking for a Data Engineer to design and develop innovative software solutions that make a real difference for our trading business.
We're seeking someone who is eager to take ownership, ensure quality, deliver exceptional solutions to the organization, and - most importantly - embrace a steep learning curve with the newest technologies.
What you'll do:
- Design, build, and scale robust data and software solutions, powering our trading operations and analytics across a complex energy data landscape
- Architect and manage modern data infrastructure centered on relational databases, integrating diverse real-time streaming technologies to ensure data accuracy, timeliness, and reliability
- Collaborate closely with traders, quantitative researchers, and analysts to transform complex datasets into actionable insights through dashboards and reports that empower traders and analysts to make data-driven decisions
- Own the full development lifecycle of your solutions - from translating business requirements into technical designs to writing clean production-grade code and deploying it seamlessly to production environments
- Continuously optimize existing data pipelines and systems to enhance robustness, scalability, and maintainability across our data and software landscape
- Deploy, monitor, and maintain production code using secure CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes
- Contribute to the broader technology stack, help shape architectural decisions and drive innovation across our data, software and infrastructure platform

What you bring
You probably tick several of these boxes (and if not, don’t worry - curiosity goes a long way here):
- Solid experience with Python
- Solid experience in database administration with technologies such as SQL, PostgreSQL and StarRocks
- Comfortable working with streaming technologies such as Kafka
- Experience with Big Data concepts and technologies
- Are self-driven and act proactively, thoroughly, and with a high sense of urgency
- Take "one for the team" and expect your colleagues to do the same
- Have an eye for detail and value TECH solutions that last for more than just a day
