We are looking for a Quantitative Analyst to join our North American entity. You will be part of our US natural gas trading desk and play a crucial role in building and maintaining fundamental models to develop profitable trading strategies but remain located at our parent entity headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark.
What you’ll do
- You’ll build and maintain quantitative models of North American natural gas fundamentals, such as supply-demand models
- You’ll create tools and analysis to implement and fine-tune algorithmic trading strategies in collaboration with traders and software developers
- You’ll conduct back-testing and validation processes of algorithmic trading strategies to ensure the reliability and accuracy of models before implementation
- You’ll ensure the quality of input data used in trading models
- You’ll take ownership of documentation to ensure comprehensive coverage of model functionalities and interfaces
Your Team
You'll join the US Gas team, primarily concentrated in Aarhus, Denmark, and work closely with other quants, traders and various stakeholders on the technology team, both located in Denmark and across North America.
What you bring
- A master’s degree in finance, economics, or another related quantitative field
- Experience working in a similar position within gas trading (not required)
- Excellent skills in quantitative modeling (e.g., statistics, econometrics, applied mathematics, physics)
- Great programming skills, preferably in Python
- Excellent communication in English – both written and verbal
