We are looking for a Quantitative Trader to join our expanding Quantitative Trading team within Asset Management. In this role, you will be part of our daily trading operations and actively participate in moving the green transition forward. You will utilize your skills within quantitative analysis and modeling to detect new trading opportunities and thereby contribute to our mission to become one of the leaders within asset management.

In 2022, we established a dedicated Asset Management team at our headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark, with a bold mission: to help drive the green transition by making renewable energy investments attractive and bankable. Specializing in Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), we support renewable energy owners and producers in optimizing revenues, mitigating risks, and securing stable returns. Today, we are +20 people across the entire value chain in Asset Management, which spans from software developers to quantitative researchers and traders, to portfolio and contract managers. 

You will join our Quantitative Trading team, consisting of experienced traders, and play a key role in our trading activities as we continue to grow and expand.
We will provide you with a thorough introduction to our business and organization, ensuring you feel well-equipped to take ownership of your responsibilities. Through a high degree of autonomy and responsibility, you can expect a steep learning curve and a broad exposure to the field of quantitative trading.

Responsibilities - you will:

  • Be an active part of the trading team and participate in the shift rotation (including weekend shifts) to monitor and trade our renewables portfolio in the 24/7 intraday market 
  • Monitor the performance of trading algorithms, identify any risk, issues or anomalies, and deploy necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance 
  • Develop into a domain expert within relevant markets and products 
  • Analyze fundamental drivers of power prices 
  • Utilize quantitative techniques to analyze market- and fundamental data 
  • Contribute to existing- and develop new algorithmic trading and asset optimization strategies 

Qualifications – we imagine that you:

  • Recently graduated or will be graduating this summer with a degree that includes coursework in Statistics, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics or Engineering
  • Have basic coding knowledge, preferably in Python 
  • Have an interest in the fields of time series analysis, predictive modelling and derivative pricing
  • Preferably have some prior experience with trading, but it is not a requirement  
  • Are fluent in English, both written and verbal
