What to expect
As a student or full-time developer in the Gas Trading team, you will get to work at the forefront of the European energy markets. You will be working together with a group of analysts and have first class sparring partners in them, the traders, and the portfolio managers.
You will work with the team to develop software, tools, and interfaces as well as to automate workflow processes and to maintain and improve solutions for the benefit of the entire team. It will be key for your success in this role to build intricate understanding of the fundamentals and dynamics of the European Gas Markets to apply your knowledge and experience to the solutions you develop. Moreover, the position offers the opportunity to learn from the best by working in close collaboration with the Software Development team and the algorithmic trading department Quantitative Solutions.

Responsibilities

Develop software, trading tools, and data visualizations relevant for Gas Trading

Develop and maintain automatic processes in Gas Trading operations

Develop user friendly UIs for internally developed software

Proactively maintain and improve implemented solutions
Qualifications – we imagine that you:
-
Are taking your Master’s or have recently graduated from Data Science, Computer Science or similar
-
Have experience and interest in workflow optimization and UI development
-
Program Python on a high level and are eager to improve further
-
Have experience in associated data science libraries Pandas, Numpy and Scipy
-
Have domain knowledge of Git, object-oriented programming, working with database, and front-end extensions of Python such as Streamlit, Dash etc.

Know how to work with time series and have experience with Javascript/CSS

Speak and write English on a business level
