We are looking for a Systems Engineer to support our fast-paced energy trading environment at InCommodities – North America. This role combines traditional IT administration with technical contributions in reporting, automation and DevOps, depending on your skills and curiosity. In 2020, we expanded our US presence by establishing an office in Austin, Texas. Today, our North American organization covers both power and natural gas. In this role, you will be part of our Technology team consisting of 5 highly skilled colleagues.

Your journey as Systems Engineer

During your onboarding, you will be introduced to your tasks and responsibilities by working closely together with colleagues in the Austin office and the IT team in Europe. As you settle into the role, you will take increasing ownership of our support, networking, and infrastructure operations, ensuring seamless IT services for our growing team. This role primarily includes IT support (user management, troubleshooting, systems administration) while at the same time, you will be working with Power BI reporting, automation, or scripting.

Responsibilities – you will:

  • Provide end-user support for software, hardware, and networking issues.
  • Administer and maintain Microsoft 365, Slack, SharePoint, and other business-critical platforms.
  • Manage user accounts, security policies, and IT best practices.
  • Support basic cloud and infrastructure needs (Azure/AWS), device provisioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Have Power BI & Reporting experience specifically as it relates to developing and managing Power BI dashboards for operations and business insights.
  • Assist with scripting (PowerShell, Python) to automate IT tasks.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, cloud configurations, and integrations.
  • Qualifications – we imagine that you:
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar
  • Have 2-3 years of experience in IT administration
  • Have a strong technical aptitude and eagerness to work beyond basic IT support
  • Are experienced or have a strong interest in Power BI, scripting (Python, PowerShell), or automation

  • Have a knack for problem solving
  • Have strong communication skills to work across IT, development teams and business users
  • Are comfortable and have experience working in a fast-paced environment
