Are you a dedicated Intraday Power Trader seeking to join an experienced team in one of the world’s fastest-growing energy trading companies? Then, you might be just who we are looking for!

We are on the lookout for an experienced Intraday Power Trader to join our successful EU intraday power trading desk. In this role, you will actively trade the European energy markets and strategically optimize our portfolio. Moreover, you will play a key role in initiating, developing, and refining trading strategies to maximize profitability and effectively navigate changing market conditions.

You will join a team of 10 ambitious and highly skilled traders and quantitative analysts who excel in what they do and create a fun and engaging environment to be part of. Cross-team collaboration is essential in our daily operations, and therefore, you can expect to interact with various colleagues from across our organization, whether from other trading teams or our IT teams.

Your journey as an Intraday Power Trader

When you join InCommodities, you do not just join a company – you join a journey! Therefore, you will start on our thoroughly planned onboarding program, where you will be introduced to everything you need to know about our business, and the organization in general. This will be done with a group of new colleagues joining at the same time as you.

During your onboarding, you will also be introduced to your team, role, tasks, and responsibilities. We do not believe in bureaucracy, stringent processes, and micro-management. Instead, we give you autonomy and freedom to make decisions and be exactly the person you are - but we expect you to walk the extra mile for both your colleagues and the bottom-line. Along with that we offer a competitive compensation package.

InCommodities are well underway on our journey to become a global energy trading house. With offices in the US and Singapore, we also offer the opportunity for personal and professional development through working from one of these locations during your InCommodities career.

Responsibilities

  • Trading and optimizing the intraday portfolio across Europe
  • Working closely together with quantitative analysts on developing trading signals and automated trading strategies
  • Participating in our 24/7 shift rotation (with team members in the US and Singapore - evening and night shifts are rare)

Qualifications – we imagine that you:

  • Have experience with European intraday power trading
  • Communicate fluently in English – oral and written

Personal skills – we expect that you:

  • Are proactive and result-oriented with high performance standards
  • Have a competitive mindset
  • Can be direct with your colleagues in a constructive way
  • Are a team player who will do what is best for the team and InCommodities

What you can expect from us:

  • You will be part of an experienced team and learn from the best
  • The opportunity to develop both professionally and personally
  • A bunch of great events - both in the team and in the entire organization
  • A unique company culture where we live up to our values: Honesty, Transparency, and Rethink and where you don't have to abide by a dress code or a strict hierarchy so that you won't be frustrated with too many rules, policies, or bureaucratic processes

We’re InCommodities: One of the fastest growing trading companies in the world. The energy market is transitioning away from fossil fuels to renewable energy, and we take part in making that happen!

At InCommodities, we support the transition by acting as the middleman between sellers and buyers of power and gas - we transport energy across borders where it’s needed, or we store it and sell it later, providing a vital function in the value chain from production to consumption. InCommodities’ business and decision-making are driven by a deep understanding of the energy markets and based on quantitative analysis and rethinking what we do.

Making InCommodities outstanding requires all types of people with different personalities, backgrounds, and approaches to solving different tasks and projects. But one thing connects us: we're fuelled by new ideas and rethinking the status quo.

Our Culture

We value a strong social culture with a high frequency of employee events outside the office. We want to win and be the best in class – therefore, you'll be surrounded by like-minded people who are bold, honest, ambitious, and the smartest in their field, and who root for one another, as we value a genuine sense of team spirit.

To help each other grow, we use honest and constructive feedback and sparring within and across teams. Personality and cultural fit are important to us because we want you to be happy here. The work culture is relaxed; you don’t have to abide by a dress code or a strict hierarchy, so you won’t be frustrated with too many rules, policies, or bureaucratic processes.

In other words, InCommodities is not your average workplace – it’s awesome.
