We are looking for a Student Financial Controller to join our expanding Finance team – Asset Management. In this role, you will engage in a wide variety of Finance related tasks – from our daily interactions with counterparties, to invoicing and controlling, and monitoring our liquidity and collaterals; all with a strong focus on efficient and automated processes.

In 2022, we established a dedicated Asset Management (AM) team at our headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark, with a bold mission: to help drive the green transition by making renewable energy investments bankable and attractive. Specializing in Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), we support renewable energy owners and producers in optimizing revenues, mitigating risks, and securing stable returns. Today, we are +20 people across the entire value chain in Asset Management, which spans from IT and Data Science to portfolio and contract managers. 

You will join our Finance team, currently consisting of an experienced Financial Controller, and play a key role in shaping the team during this early phase of our growth journey. We will provide you with a thorough introduction to our business and organization, ensuring you feel well-equipped to take ownership of your responsibilities. Through a high degree of autonomy and responsibility, you can expect a steep learning curve and a broad exposure to the Finance domain.

The position is part-time with approx. 15 hours a week. You will get flexibility to structure your workdays to fit studies and exam periods to maintain a great work-life balance. 

Responsibilities - you will:

  • Take an active part in the Finance team by handling daily operations, invoicing and invoice settlements which is in a large extend automated processes 
  • Assist in liquidity and collateral management tasks in close collaboration with colleagues
  • Assist in the reporting and annual close processes 
  • Perform controlling tasks of existing and new counterparties 
  • Improve and develop new processes and procedures, e.g., daily operations and financial reports 
  • Execute on ad hoc projects and tasks within the Finance team

Qualifications – we imagine that you:

  • Are currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree within Finance, Accounting, Economics, Financial Management, or similar
  • Preferably have Finance and/or business-related experience, but it is not a requirement  
  • Are fluent in English, both written and verbal
