In Macro Trading, we combine macroeconomic insights and data analysis with market-specific knowledge of power, gas, and emissions to generate trading decisions. Our macro portfolio operates like a start-up, offering high autonomy and the opportunity to innovate and rethink European Energy Trading while having the backing of a larger and more mature organization, increasing the probability of success.
Your journey as Student Quantitative Analyst
We seek a passionate Student Quantitative Analyst with deep interest in macroeconomics and econometrics to help develop the foundation for our energy trading activities. You will be an integral part of the team, receiving support in all areas to help you reach your full potential.
We aim to provide the best possible start in your new role. You can expect a thorough introduction to the team, our business, and the broader organization. You will also join our onboarding program during your first week alongside other new colleagues.
You are expected to work approximately 15 hours per week. We offer flexible working hours to ensure you can balance work and studies without compromise.
Responsibilities – you will:
- Apply econometric methods to forecast macro variables
- Participate in developing a macroeconomic framework for algorithmic and discretionary trading
- Collaborate with traders and quants to translate macroeconomic data into actionable insights
Qualifications – we imagine that you:
- Are currently studying a bachelor's (on 5th semester or later) or a master's in economics, finance, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or similar
- Have experience with coding in R and/or Python
- Have excellent abilities in mathematics and statistics
- Preferably, have experience from a relevant previous student job
- Are fluent in English – written and oral
